Starting with the 2022-2023 academic year, Pforzheimer House will include the 3rd floor of Cronkhite Center to help accommodate the larger on-campus population. Cabot House and Currier House will join us in using wings of this building to house students from their Houses. As we seek to establish the 3rd floor of Cronkhite as part of our Pfohome, please see below for a summary of the spaces (both residential and communal use), along with some frequently asked questions with the information we currently have.
Cronkhite is located 84 Brattle Street, Cambridge, MA 02138. Situated between the Quad itself, and Harvard Yard, Cronkhite is home to University Admissions on the ground floor, with residential spaces on the 2nd and 3rd floor accessible by stair and elevator. Cronkhite is a short walk or shuttle ride from the Quad and the Yard.
Rooms in Cronkhite will be available for selection in the Pfoho general housing lottery, this means that you may choose to select a room in Cronkhite as either a Junior or Senior when picking your space for next year.
Accommodations at Cronkhite include:
· Single, carpeted rooms with large windows and lots of natural light
· Hallway bathrooms on each wing of each floor
· Shared common kitchen space on residential floors and in the basement
· Laundry facilities
· A small gym with cardio machines and free weights
· Study and lounge space
· Indoor bike storage in the basement
· An expansive courtyard located just outside the dining center
