Registrar of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences
Mike Burke

I was born and raised in Philadelphia and studied political science at Syracuse University. I went on to receive a masters degree at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. At some point in between I served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Zimbabwe. Prior to becoming the Registrar for the Faculty of Arts and Sciences I was the Registrar and Director of Admissions at the Kennedy School of Government.

I enjoy cycling and running and welcome conversations about these activities. Students with questions about the Peace Corps or applying to public policy programs are very welcome to reach out to me. I'd love to speak you about these opportunities.

I live on Faculty Row with my wife, Gina, and sons, Will (12) and Colin (10). Gina grew up in Manchester, MA, and has degrees in history and education from the University of Massachusetts. As a former Director of Undergraduate Housing in Harvard College, all of the Houses hold a special place for her but Pfoho has quickly become her favorite.

You can find Will and Colin riding bikes around the Quad or more likely plastered to their iPads. They also love Pfoho, Housing Day, and when the dining hall has donuts (not necessarily in that order).
