Hi Pfoho people!
My name is Anyeli Matos (An-Je-Li). I’m super excited to join Pfoho!
I’m a proud Afro-Dominican, born and raised in the Dominican Republic. My experiences as an immigrant and first generation graduate drive my passion for education reform. Most recently, I led the charter schools office at the New York City Department of Education. In this role, I led the policy, finance, school level support and authorizing for charter schools serving ~140k students. I’m a product of New York City public schools, graduated from Binghamton University with a degree in Sociology and economics, recently completed an Ed.M. in Education Policy and Management at the Harvard Graduate School of Education (HGSE) and I’m currently pursuing a Doctorate in Education Leadership (Ed.L.D.) - going in to year 2 at HGSE.
I love a good water slide, food, dancing and I love babies! :)
