I'm Alyn! I'm from New Orleans and was placed in what is undoubtedly the best House at Harvard—Pfoho—where I was: the IM Supreme Leader (my official title), part of HOCO including as Stein Club Co-Chair, and Pfoho's 2019 Class Rep. Outside the House, I was a PAF who evangelized my PAFees into wanting to be Quadded before they'd even started first semester.

I graduated with a joint degree in Folklore & Mythology and Government (and wrote my thesis on soft power and popular culture in South Korea), and then traveled to South Korea to dance on one of Harvard's traveling (p)fellowships. When that year was cut in half, I wrote a manuscript and, because of that, found my way into the publishing industry as an acquiring editor for an adult nonfiction boutique publisher.

While working in publishing, I found that there are some differences in the world that I'm looking to make—and that I'll be better able to make those differences with a law degree. That's how I returned to Harvard, where this time I'll be a student at the law school.

For fun, I write, play the ukulele, accumulate random facts, sing all the time, refuse to pick a favorite book on principle, dance as much as I can, draw and paint and sketch and sometimes carve rubber to make stamps/prints, and watch international sporting events.
