Hi everyone! I am incredibly excited to join the Pfamily this year and can’t wait to get to know everyone! I am orginally from the lower Hudson Valley of New York and spent much of my childhood exploring the wooded areas around there. My path to higher education began at Community College. There I recieved an associates degree in Humanities and spent a great deal of time reading/translating medieval literature. I eventually transferred to Cornell University and studied Environmental Biology as well as International Agriculture. During my time as a undergraduate, I explored nutrient limitations in temperate forests. I broadened my ecosystem ecology skills from the temperate to tropical forests as a research technician in El Yunque National Forest. If you ever want to learn more about plant biology, ecology or mycology, feel free to reach out to me and we can geek out over plants!
