Hey Pfoho! My name is Amanda Mozea and I am so happy to be joining the House as a Non-Resident Race Relations Tutor! I was Harvard class of 2017-2018 (ask me about taking time off!) and was a proud Pfohoser all of my years on campus. At Harvard, I concentrated in Social Studies (ask me about writing a thesis!), with a focus field in Racial Inequality in Contemporary America, and my secondary was in Ethnicity, Migration, and Rights. After graduating, I continued to live in Pfoho as a Pfaculty Deans' Aide (or House Elf) and made a name for myself frying up puff puff, Nigerian fried dough, on every occasion I could. It's looking like I just couldn't get enough of Pfoho because I'm back yet again!
In my non-Pfoho time, I work at MEDIAGIRLS, a Boston-based nonprofit that teaches girls and young women critical media literacy and how to use media to empower themselves and each other, and am an Anti-Racism and Equity Consultant for my former school district. Issues of racism and inequality are deeply important to me and I am looking forward to supporting students and fostering these conversations in a community that has given me so much over the years! Here's to learning and growing together!
