I’m excited for the start of my sixth year as part of the Pfoho community, and my second as Academic Coordinator. I’m looking forward to helping Pfohosers navigate academic responsibilities, grad applications, letters of recommendation, and anything else that may come up! I’m passionate about education and music, particularly band. I hold a Master’s Degree in Wind Band Conducting from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from the University of Michigan, where I was a member of the Michigan Marching Band and the Hockey Band. I have taught band students at the elementary, high school, and college level, and I spent eight summers traveling the country on a bus marching with (and then teaching) a competitive drum and bugle corps. Prior to my position as Pfoho's Academic Coordinator, I was the Undergraduate and Events Coordinator at the Harvard University Department of Music.
I also spent several years as a House Masters’ Aide (or House Elf) here in Pfoho, planning and making treats for the Masters' events. I love to cook and bake, and I completed a nine-month internship at Flour Bakery+Cafe in Boston. I'll happily chat with you about sticky buns, homemade oreos, and other delicious treats. Walk through the House Office at the right time and you might catch some baked goods up for grabs! I also love scifi/fantasy books and movies, all sorts of television, board games, kayaking, sailing, college football, and talking about any of those topics.
